Welcome to Nardouw. These simple rules are here to protect the property, the surrounding Cederberg environment, and the comfort and safety of everyone staying here.
Secure the cabin
Please ensure that all windows, doors, curtains and shutters are closed and locked whenever you leave the accommodation.
Food storage and wildlife
When leaving the property, please store all food and consumables securely inside the cabin to avoid attracting wild animals. Please do not feed or approach wildlife.
No littering
Please dispose of all organic and inorganic waste in the bin provided. Littering anywhere on the property is not permitted. Guests may be charged for reasonable cleaning or recovery costs resulting from littering.
Braai, fire and fire safety
The Cederberg has a high veldfire risk. Fires may only be made in the designated braai area and must be kept manageable and under control at all times.
Never leave a fire, hot coals or embers unattended. Please keep the cabin sliding door closed while using the braai to prevent smoke from entering the cabin.
Before leaving the braai area or going to bed, make sure the fire and embers are safely extinguished.
Guests must comply with any temporary fire bans, weather-related restrictions or safety instructions communicated by Nardouw.
Guests may be held responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for damage, firefighting costs, remediation costs or other reasonable losses caused by negligent, reckless, unlawful or intentional use of fire.
Smoking and vaping
No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the cabin or any enclosed area.
Smoking is permitted outdoors, on the porch and at the braai area. Cigarettes and other smoking materials must be fully extinguished and disposed of safely. Cigarette butts may not be thrown onto the ground or into vegetation.
Occupancy and visitors
Nardouw accommodates a maximum of 2 adult guests.
Children are not permitted.
Only registered guests may stay overnight. Daytime visitors, parties, events or gatherings are permitted only if arranged in advance and approved by Nardouw.
Pets
No pets are permitted at Nardouw.
Property, damages and breakages
Please treat the cabin, furnishings, equipment, outdoor facilities and surrounding property with care.
Any damage or breakage must be reported to Nardouw as soon as possible during your stay.
Guests may be held responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for the reasonable cost of repair, replacement, additional cleaning or other losses caused by negligence, misuse, reckless conduct, deliberate conduct or material breach of these House Rules.
Makeup and linen care
Please use the dark makeup towels provided for makeup removal and avoid using bedding or pillowcases for makeup.
Additional cleaning or replacement charges may apply where linen or other items are heavily stained or damaged.
Use of the property
Guests are welcome to explore the property and use the available walking, cycling and bouldering areas at their own discretion.
Please respect the natural environment, vegetation, wildlife, neighbouring land and any areas marked as restricted or private.
Walking, cycling, bouldering and other outdoor activities are undertaken subject to the risks described in the Nardouw Guest Indemnity, Assumption of Risk & Acknowledgement.

Please let Nardouw know your expected arrival time where possible.
Emergencies, hazards and problems
Please notify Nardouw promptly if you become aware of damage, fire, unsafe conditions, injury or any other problem requiring attention.
